Arandu: Where Chitral Meets Kunar

A few days after my visit to Bumborait I was off for every other day ride in Lower Chitral. This time I become headed to the southernmost point in Chitral, the sub-tehsil of Arandu. Arandu is culturally and geographically a part of the Kunar Valley and is a remnant of the little empire of the Katoor Shahs, who for a short time ruled the whole thing from Asmar to Puniyal. As I even have quite a piece of property within the area, which was unnoticed by using my circle of relatives for the reason that merger of the nation I desired to go meet the locals and feature a sense of the Wild South of Chitral.

Arandu lies approximately one hundred kilometers due southwest of Chitral Town and is in which our river flows into Afghanistan. You first take the main street which leads to the Lowari and Dir however after crossing Drosh and achieving the military base at Mirkhani you maintain following the route of the Chitral River in preference to turning closer to the circulate flowing from the Lowari. Shortly afterward the valley narrows drastically and the climate and flowers start to alternate as you depart the Chitral Valley and input the Kunar Valley.
